چکیده

Abstract Plant-based dietary ingredients contain non-starch polysaccharides (NSP) fibers. Both soluble and insoluble NSP fibers are anti-nutritional factors for monogastrics that limit intestinal absorption digestion of nutrients. Increased digesta viscosity also occurs, which results in satiety potential health issues. AveMix XG 10, containing high endo-1,4-β-xylanase endo-1,3(4)-β-glucanase activity, hydrolyzes resulting increased nutrient availability digestibility. Therefore, it was hypothesized 10 enables gain some extra net energy (NE) content from piglet diets, optimizing the cost live-weight growth. A 47-day trial conducted with 3-week old weaned piglets (6.0 kg) allocated to three groups: control (CON), low (-56 kcal/kg feed; LE), + enzyme (LE+E). All groups had 13 pens 28 pigs (n=364) received wheat corn mix based diets a similar fiber (11.4 %). Overall, CON greater NE (2,456 feed) relative LE LE+E (2,400 feed). The diet group supplemented (Palital Feed Additives B.V.) at 100 g/T. For each pen daily feed intake, weekly weight, diarrhea index mortality were recorded. Compared both LE, significantly average (ADG) intake (ADFI) during weeks 4-7 overall, final weight (Table 1). During 1-3, ADG ADFI did not differ between groups, than LE. detrimentally conversion ratio (FCR) compared CON; however, FCR CON. No significant effects observed on or index. In conclusion, improved performance when is decreased.

Effect of dietary net energy concentrations on growth performance and net energy intake of growing gilts

OBJECTIVE This experiment investigated the effect of dietary net energy (NE) concentrations on growth performance and NE intake of growing gilts. METHODS Five diets were formulated to contain 9.6, 10.1, 10.6, 11.1, and 11.6 MJ NE/kg, respectively. A metabolism trial with 10 growing pigs (average body weight [BW] = 15.9±0.24 kg) was conducted to determine NE concentrations of 5 diets based on ...

Dietary energy density affects the preference for protein or carbohydrate solutions and piglet performance after weaning.

Physiological state or dietary nutrient content can be determinants of the sensory perception with consequences for feed preferences. The aim of the present study was to assess whether the preference for protein or carbohydrate of piglets is affected by dietary energy density. In total, 240 weanling piglets (28 d old; initial BW 7.2 ± 1.1 kg) were allocated to 24 pens (10 pigs/pen) according to...

When every $P$-flat ideal is flat

In this paper‎, ‎we study the class of rings in which every $P$-flat‎ ‎ideal is flat and which will be called $PFF$-rings‎. ‎In particular‎, ‎Von Neumann regular rings‎, ‎hereditary rings‎, ‎semi-hereditary ring‎, ‎PID and arithmetical rings are examples of $PFF$-rings‎. ‎In the context domain‎, ‎this notion coincide with‎ ‎Pr"{u}fer domain‎. ‎We provide necessary and sufficient conditions for‎...

Dietary Alpha-Lipoic Acid Alters Piglet Neurodevelopment

INTRODUCTION Alpha-lipoic acid (a-LA) is an antioxidant shown to ameliorate age-associated impairments of brain and cardiovascular function. Human milk is known to have high antioxidant capacity; however, the role of antioxidants in the developing brain is largely uncharacterized. This exploratory study aimed to examine the dose-response effects of a-LA on piglet growth and neurodevelopment. ...

Comparison of Energy Use and Piglet Performance Between Conventional and Energy-Efficient Heat Lamps

A one-year field study compared the conventional 250W IR heat lamp with an energy-efficient 175W radiant heat lamp for swine farrowing operations. The energy-efficient heat lamp showed a $36 annual cash savings per unit (assuming $0.10/kWh electricity); a 1.2% absolute reduction in piglet mortality from birth to weaning (5.0±0.28% vs. 6.2±0.44%) (P<0.01); a 45% lower lamp failure rate (18±4% vs...
